daughter. wildflower. breath of life.

daughter. wildflower. breath of life.

There is a difference between building something for yourself and building something with God. One is rooted in ego. The other is rooted in surrender.

That is why prayer has been a huge part of my candle journey.

Prayer forced me to ask: Am I doing this to be seen or because I feel called? Am I chasing approval or serving God?

Over the past several years, I spent time praying over the candles and the purpose behind them. There were moments I almost abandoned this dream out of fear.

In particular, I was afraid of saying or creating something that the online crowd would condemn, telling me my theology is wrong and diminishing my experience of God as expressed through my creations.

But I'm here to serve. And one of the ways I feel called to serve is to share my relationship with Christ through crafting.

My candles reflect what it means to be beloved by an awesome Creator.

And sometimes, as I am not a teacher or a pastor, I'll miss the mark. I am a work in progress.

But I am also brave, because God called me to this ministry. I realized that by keeping my work private, I was living in a spirit of fear, not freedom.

Jesus called me "daughter," and He breathed His life into my dry bones, igniting the deepest love I have ever known and a passion to share it with the world through my creativity.

So I will share.

Because He asked me to. Because my faith has healed me. And because God has given me permission to bloom– like a wildflower.
